Some Firsts

A couple of months ago Jeremy and I made the decision that I sould find a part-time job so that we can get out of debt faster. For now I am working as a CNA at a home in Independence from 2 p.m.-10p.m. about 6 or 8 times a month. We wanted to find something that Jeremy could work around so he could be with the kids when I was gone. So far it has worked out.

Bethany LOVES that she gets to spend time with her Daddy. She loves to go ride the 4 wheeler, check for new babies, and move and feed the cattle. Well, the other night when I got home, Jeremy told me that he took the kids to go work some cattle that need to be shipped. I asked him how Cody did. He said just fine, he gave him a bottle and he was happy. Then I asked him what Bethany did the whole time and he told me that he taught her how to run the back gate on the hydraulic chute. I guess it took a little while for her to get the hang of it, but she got it! The next morning she told me about it and she was sooo proud!! She has turned into such a good helper. I was kind of sad that I missed the whole deal, but if I would of been there, it probably wouldn't of happened. I just wish Daddy would have remembered the camera.

Cody also decided to show Daddy a new trick while I was at work. One morning Cody was crawling around and decided to pull himself up on our coffee table. I was so excited! I told Jeremy about it and do you know what he said? "I know, he did that the other day when you were gone." What!?! And he didn't tell me? I knew that was going to happen. In fact, I had just been talking about that to one of the girls at work who has a baby about the same age. I told her I would be the last one to find out, and I was. Oh well...life goes on. I'm just so thankful that Jeremy is able to be around more, and that he gets to spend time with the kids.

Cody's first taste of peas.

Bethany, Cody and I all got to have a first a couple of weekends ago. Jeremy turned 34 on the 21st of May. So we decided to go to a Royals game for his birthday. We met his parents and sister and her family and spent the day together. It was a beautiful day, not too hot, not too cold. The Royals lost, but it was a good game. I think we all decided that next time it might be eaiser/more fun with no kids, though. It was a bit of a long day for them, but they did pretty good.

Hi! Just found your blog from Karens:) You guys are so cute! That's too bad that you're missing out on those little things! Guys just don't think the same way as we do which is probably why he forgot to tell you. I'm sure you already knew that though:)
